Short Story

Today was one of the hottest in Chicago this summer, which was totally fine with me. I had a chance to wear this shorts that I love so much, but almost forgot that I have it. It's Trouvé, one of my favorite brands, that can only be found at Nordstrom.  I don't wear it a lot since it's a little bit on the dressier side. But, if paired  with flat sandals, like I did, it can be perfect for an afternoon walk. And what I love most about it, is it's loose fit (tight shorts-big NO).

This top is also an old purchase, from Old Navy. It has this huge flounce , so I had to be very careful with accessories. At first, I wanted to tuck the blouse in and add a belt, but then I figured that that would be too much, as I don't like over-accessorizing. This way it  looks kinda like a romper, doesn't it?

I fell in love with this clutch at first sight! Not just because it's raffia, which I love and which was (and still is) a big trend this season,  but because  of the color combination and the fact that it can be worn as clutch and as a shoulder bag. Plus, it goes perfectly with the sandals, the same ones from the previous post.

And there are, of course, matching accessories.

I wore: Trouvé shorts (old; similar, pricey ones here and here; on the budget this one and this one), Old navy top (old), The Limited clutch (mine is sold out,bu this one is cute, too, and is on super-sale), Mango sandals (silver ones still there,on sale), H&M bracelets (old), Old navy rings, earrings from Nordstrom Rack (old, fogot the brand), DVF sunnies

Perfectly Simple

I bet that every single one of us had one of those days when you don't know what to where (yes, you just don't know what to wear, because, let's be honest, we all do have what to wear, it's just that we have hard time choosing that one perfect outfit). Well, I had that day last week, and I opted for an outfit that never seems to fail- jeans and white shirt. The perks of this outfit are many-first of all, you can wear pretty much any type of shoes, of any color and heel height. You can add jewelry, scarf, any accessory that comes to your mind. And that's not all. The versatility of the outfit allows you to wear all day-and night. During the day, you can wear it with flats or sneakers, and if you decide to go to a late dinner or a club, you can just put you  high heels on and you're ready. Don't you just love it?

I was wearing: H&M shirt and jeans (both sold out), Mango sandals (golden sold out, but silver ones are on sale for only 19.99!!!), Cynthia Rowley bag  (old), suede necklace and bracelet (old,my mom's), beaded bracelets( from Kohl's), Forever 21 gold &brown bracelet, Michael Kors sunnies.

Green As Dress

I have a thing for maxi dresses. Green maxi dresses, to be exact. Remember this one?

It was voted the best movie costume of all times. I think it's the most beautiful emerald green dress I've ever seen. And Keira really did pull it off.
Maybe it was the movie that inspired me to buy this dress:

A super-comfy cotton dress was perfect  for almost every occasion. I ended up giving it to my sister cause she really liked it. And I was on a hunt  for new green dress. So when I came across this one at Rachel Roy, I simply had to have it. I ordered it immediately  and when it came, it couldn't be more perfect- the color, the fit, the length I just had to wait for a nice weather to wear it and take some pictures :)

I was wearing: Rachel Rachel Roy dress (sold out. Budget friendly alternatives: AsosOld NavyShopbop; pricey ones: Ella MossGuess by MarcianoVictoria's Secret), Bruno Premi sandals (here), Masterpelle jacket (old), non-branded necklace, Trina Turk ring (big one), Old Navy ring (smaller ones)

Brightenin' Up The Day

Living in Chicago means you can have all four seasons changed in a single day. With rain, clouds and wind today, you could hardly tell it was end of July. But  it didn't stop me from leaving home.I put on this cute ombre sweatshirt, boyfriend jeans, my favorite Chucks - and the sun was shining again! (it really was!).

These Chucks are the result of collaboration between Converse and Finnish company Marimekko. They are famous for their textile design, bold patterns and colors, especially stripes and large flowers prints. Their collection for Converse features several low and high-tops. I like all of them, but with these beauties it was love at first sight.

I was wearing: Mossimo Supply Co. sweatshirt via Target (on sale now!), Route 66 boyfriend jeans (old), Converse x Marimekko Chucks (here), Mango scarf (old), H&M bracelets, Trina Turk ring, Diesel watch
